"Miniature buildings at their best, not just a dolls house"

Hello and welcome to the `Town and Country Planner`. This is the home of hand crafted individually designed miniature buildings in the 1/12" scale range, for both the collector and the serious enthusiast.

Having looked around to see what is/was available as regards quality miniature buildings, we were very surprised to learn just how much there was of exquisite nature, to place within your `dolls house, shop or whatever`, but very little in the way of highly detailed buildings that stood out from the impression of a child's `dolls house`, and of the `same old, same old`. The range of structures is very repetitive, garish in colour, certainly not authentic of buildings in real life.

Bricks and tiles are either painted on the outside of the buildings on printed papers, purporting to be a copy of realism !. We do of course realize that not everyone wants total accuracy in their hobby but, there must be so many people that do want something a little more authentic and accurate we feel.

Adults and collectors can indulge in this fascinating world of miniature realism, without it feeling toy like and childish. It is our aim at the `Town and Country Planner` to offer a range of buildings and fittings to create realism and authenticity, to create the unusual, the individual and at least something different from the mainstream suppliers, possibly even charming.

We use a range of materials from real bricks and tiles/slate, to card, Birch plywood, metal and clays, various hardwoods and not just MDF as a one size fits all. We also use both off the shelf windows and doors, adjusted to suit we might add as a basis, as well as making our own timber and metal handmade products. All our buildings come with the wiring for lights etc completed unless directed otherwise.
